Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster and INDIKA arrive on Game Pass
To kick off February, Xbox have added two adventurers to its ever-growing Game Pass catalog.
The refreshed Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster and intriguing INDIKA are available on the subscription service as of February 3, 2026.
Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster
Mere days after Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade was added to the platform, another Final Fantasy remake is being added to Game Pass.
Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster offers a modernised take on the 1988 classic while staying faithful to its retro roots.
You have four playable characters: Firion, Maria, Guy, and Leon, who are attacked by the mercenary Palamecian Empire and left for dead. With Leon nowhere to be found, they join the Wild Rose rebellion group, who fight against the Empire in a bloody war in the hopes of finally finding out what happened to their dear friend.
What is different about the remaster?
There are many things that have been altered for the remaster. These include:
- Fully refreshed 2D pixel visuals
- Rearranged soundtrack overseen by the series’ regular composer Nobuo Uematsu
- A modernised UI and auto-battle options
- Adjustable encounter rates and progression boosts
- Extras including a bestiary, illustration gallery, and music player
INDIKA
In one of the most unique games you will ever get your hands on, you play as Indika, a young nun in 19th century Russia who may look innocent, but she can literally speak to the devil himself.
While on her way to handing a letter to a fellow monastery, she encounters a train accident that has left some prisoners on the run, and she bumps into Ilya, one of the inmates who holds her at gunpoint. Take on puzzles as they explore rural Russia, where Indika sees her faith challenged in a story that leaves you questioning if religion is just another form of control.
