Super Battle Golf, the game where golf meets adventure (and chaos), is out on February 19th

Golf is known as the most gentlemanly sport in the world, but the latest video game on the subject, Super Battle Golf,  goes completely against the stereotype.

Super Battle Golf sees you compete against up to seven others with one goal in mind: hole your putt before anyone else by any means necessary.

Just like when you play golf, each player must control the angle and power of their swing, and you have to strategize your approach to each course.

But apart from that, Super Battle Golf throws the sport’s rulebook into the bunker. Each player tees off at the same time and is encouraged to halt other players’ progress via all the different items that are available on the course.

With the likes of golf buggies, orbital lasers, pistols, and RPG’s available for you to find, the perfect shot will probably bring you more trouble than it is worth.

With 27 courses to choose from, you have to make sure to avoid the sand pits, lakes, vegetation, and mines (yes, you read that correctly) that come with each hole. 

Though it has all the ingredients to sound like it will be tarnished by toxic players, it could be a great game to play online with your friends. Even better, voice chat is available.

Those who, like Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, love their golf video games should give this unique twist on the sport a try.

What platforms is Super Battle Golf available on?

The game is only available on Steam at launch. However, expect it to be like another golf game, Golf With Your Friends, and it will be available on Xbox and PlayStation in the future. 

How much does Super Battle Golf cost?

Though no price has been outright revealed, developer Brimstone and publisher Oro Interactive have revealed in their latest press release that a launch discount code will be active, and that it will be less than $5. 

The game will be released on Steam on the 19th February.
