If you’ve been waiting for Starfield on PS5, the official launch date has been announced
Yes, it’s actually real, Starfield is coming to PS5 after its release date being heavily rumored for some time now.
If you’re excited to finally dive into Bethesda’s foray into a single-player space RPG after years of medieval or wasteland adventuring, you’ll want to know when the launch is.
Below, we’ll let you know what the Starfield PS5 release date is, along with pricing and any additional content that comes along with it.
What is the Starfield PS5 release date?
If you’re a PS5 owner and have been holding out for Starfield to come over to the console, you haven’t got much longer to wait.
Starfield will launch on PS5 on April 7, 2026, with a flurry of additional content, such as the Free Lanes update and Terran Armada DLC.
The Free Lanes update, specifically, brings a plethora of in-game upgrades that many have been asking for since the game’s initial release.
The big addition here is the ability to freely fly between planets instead of just zipping directly there, not getting the ‘true’ feeling of being in space. What’s more, if you’re in Cruise Mode, you’ll be able to customize your ship, talk with crew members, and more, which was previously locked to when docked.
The Terran Armada DLC is huge too, with new story beats and the introduction of the new Incursion system that creates repeatable loops for you loot goblins. You will have to pay a little more cash for this, as it only comes with the Premium Edition or Premium Edition Upgrade, but it’s likely worth it if you’ve been waiting this long to play
What we’re saying here is that if you’re experiencing Starfield on PS5 for the first time, you’re eating good. A whole host of improvements have been made, rectifying some core complaints that a lot had earlier on in the lifecycle.
