If you want Sailing Crewmates in OSRS here’s what you need to do
Sailing the high seas alone in OSRS, while potentially therapeutic, can be dangerous, especially if you need help fending off sea monsters or navigating treacherous waters.
Thankfully, you can add Crewmates to your vessel, who specialize in different areas, but you may not know how to do so.
Here, we’ll take a look at the Crew Management system so you can get to gathering more voices for those sea shanties.
How to get Sailing Crewmates in OSRS
If you’ve had enough of doing all the work on your boat, you can add Crewmates to share the load, while also providing additional bonuses.
These come in the form of Helmsmanship, Privateering, and Deckhandiness, aiding navigation, ship gear, and manual tasks, which can be key if you’re exploring, fending off enemies, or doing a bit of salvaging for items such as the Sailors’ Amulet.
To get Crewmates onboard, you must first reach Sailing level 40 where the first one — Jobless Jim — is unlocked. After talking to him in Port Sarim, you will be able to speak to the Crew Registrar in The Pandemonium to assign him to the slot you have on your boat.
At level 40, you will only be able to assign one Crewmate, but increasing your level naturally increases the maximum number of Crewmates allowed. Level 55 puts the max to 2, 70 to 3, 85 to 4, and 95 to 5.
The Cremate slots vary depending on which craft you have and what Facilities you’ve managed to tag on, so keep that in mind before thinking about getting a boat full of help.
Here are all the Crewmates you can find including what they offer, and any requirements you need to have boxed off before you can hire them:
With all this info, you should have everything you need to start adding Crewmates to your Sailing adventures in OSRS, and hopefully, you can reap the rewards of having a few extra hands on deck.
