The hype is only building for Pokemon Pokopia, with the game becoming more and more appealing as we get closer to launch.

A cozy Pokemon game already sounds like a hit right out of the gate but when you add in so much customizability, and even Minecraft-like servers, so many will be keen to get in at launch.

If this sounds like a bit of you, you might as well get a pre-order in and snag some additional bonuses. However, these bonuses vary depending on which retailer you opt for, making things annoyingly confusing.

What are the Pokemon Pokopia pre-order bonuses?

There is one Pokemon Pokopia pre-order bonus that apparently everyone will receive for pre-purchasing the game, no matter where from.

This is the Ditto Rug which is an in-game item that can be used to decorate your abode, and is a nice nod to the fact that you are actually playing as a Ditto despite the human appearance.

Now, this is where things get interesting with the pre-order bonuses. If you choose to pre-order via the Pokemon Center, you’ll also secure a physical Ditto plush, which is a huge plus for going down this route, seeing as though it’s an actual, tangible gift.

The Best Buy Pokopia pre-order also opts for a physical item but this time, in the form of a fun themed tote bag. The company states this is $9.99 worth of value, so not a bad additional extra to snag.

And for Amazon, sadly, it has chosen to be less than giving, with the pre-order bonus being a single digital plant. This is the Flat Leaf Plant, and can be used in-game as a decoration, which isn’t exactly more appealing than the others we’ve mentioned so far.

As you might expect, Japan has the best of the best Pokopia pre-order bonuses with a crazy number of different bits on offer at various retailers. Most of these are physical, too, which is even better.

If you’re US-based it’s likely you’re not importing the game all the way from Japan, but at least it’s nice to know that if you are all in on Pokopia, you have the option to add some potentially exclusive merch if you were to go down that route.
