Geralt rides through a medieval town in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It’s that time of year when the tree is up, Mariah Carey infects every commercial radio station, and of course, Nintendo’s festive sale treats us to some brilliant deals for games on their Switch consoles.

Let’s have a look at three brilliant deals on adventure games so you can treat yourself after you get gifted an ugly knitted sweater and some socks.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015)

The game we ranked as the best open-world game of all time has been cut from its usual price of £29.99 to just £7.49 on the Switch.

You play as Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher and mercenary slayer who possesses super-human abilities in a beautifully written storyline that is coupled with an interactive open-world.

Even if you have played the game before, this could be the perfect way to get back into the series ahead of the pending release of The Witcher 4.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (2024)

The first three Tomb Raider titles were remastered last year, and you can get them for just £7.57 when it normally costs £25.26 for the trilogy.

While the plot for each game is exactly the same as the original games nearly 30 years prior, the updated textures, lighting, and boss health bars give the player a refreshed experience.

Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection (2013-14)

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – a hooded assassin leaps onto a British soldier during a fierce naval battle.

Two installments in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and Rogue are available to be purchased together for just £9.59.

If the deal were solely for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, we would have ranked it on this list, as it is a great deal for a title we rank as one of the best adventure games of all time.

You play as Edward Kenway, a captain of a pirate ship and have also been trained by assassins. You will need to utilise all of Edward’s training as you fight off British and Spanish factions to collect plenty of treasure and be regarded as one of the best pirates of all time.

While we must admit that the following installment in the franchise, Rogue, is not as good, it is still an immersive storyline. You play as Shay Patrick Cormac, a former member of the Colonial Brotherhood. Shay seeks revenge on his former friends after they shoot and betray him, after he becomes disillusioned with their actions.

You have until January 11 to pick up these, and thousands more festive deals, so you might as well secure what you want now before you forget and it gets too late.
