metroid prime 4 amiibo bonuses

Just like most big first-party Nintendo games these days, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond brings with it a few new amiibo that you’ll need to pick up if you’re both a fan of the franchise or a figurine collector.

Akin to that of the amiibo from the release of Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, for example, Metroid Prime 4 amiibo provide you with some in-game bonuses that give you a little helping hand on your playthrough.

Here is what each Metroid Prime 4 amiibo does so that you can take advantage of them as you suit up as Samus for another adventure.

What are the Metroid Prime 4 amiibo bonuses?

There are three different amiibo that you can buy to celebrate the launch of Metroid Prime 4: Samus & Vi-O-La, Samus, and Sylux.

Each of these is an extremely cool bit of memorabilia and would look very nice on that shelf along with the rest of your amiibo collection, but they also offer some extra goodies.

If you scan the Samus & Vi-O-La amiibo, you’ll be able to check Vi-O-La’s total distance traveled, change the color of Vi-O-La, and once per day, you can increase the rate at which Vi-O-La’s Boost Energy regenerates.

Tapping the Samus amiibo allows you to change the background music when riding Vi-O-La in Sol Valley, restore Samus’ life to full when your shield is activated, and once per day, activate a shield that will block up to 99 damage.

Finally, each touch of the Sylux amiibo will play a random voice line for the character. Additionally, when you finish the game, you’ll be able to view full versions of the movies that are shown in fragments throughout your Metroid Prime 4 playthrough.

If you don’t have this amiibo, you will still have access to the full movie versions but you will need to secure a 100% scan and item collection rate on completion of the story.
