Here’s how to download the Hytale launcher to start playing Early Access

Ever since Simon, the Founder of Hypixel announced he bought back the Hytale IP from Riot Games, those who had been following the story have been eagerly awaiting the game’s return.

It’s only been a short while since all of this went down, but Hytale’s Early Access has arrived. However, sadly, it’s not as simple as loading up Steam and getting it downloaded.

There is a standalone launcher and here, we’ll get into how you can get it on your PC so you can play as soon as possible.

How to get the Hytale launcher and start playing

As previously alluded to, you’re likely used to booting up Steam (or Epic Games if you’re that way inclined…) to play your PC games, but like Minecraft of old, you will need to download and install a separate launcher if you want to play Hytale.

Your first port of call to do so is by heading over to the official Hytale website. Once here, you’ll need to open up the Download tab on the navigation bar.

Here, you’ll be presented with a big Download For Windows button which, when clicked, should initiate the download. When this is done, open up the launcher from whatever directory you saved it to, and you should be able to get the process going for installing Hytale on your system.

Do keep in mind, though, that Hytale is a paid experience, so to actually play, you will need to pay for one of the editions on the Hytale store page. There are no special queue privileges, no matter which version you have, so if you’re cash-strapped, just go for the Standard tier.

With such a demand for Hytale, we suggest you get the launcher downloaded as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed if/when the site goes down due to high demand on the Early Access release.
