Looking to plunder with friends in Windrose? Here’s how many people can play together

When you’re looking to survive while being stranded on an island, it’s always better to do so with fellow crew members.

Windrose doesn’t have to be a lonely affair since you’re able to play with others, as you scrounge and scavenge for any potential resources.

But, there is a limit to how many people can play together on a server, don’t go thinking you can have a thirty-man crew overpowering every ship you come across.

How many people can you have on a server in Windrose?

Windrose can be a co-op multiplayer title if you want to share the pirating experience with others.

However, even though it did start out as an MMO with the likes of PvP, it was scaled back to a smaller PvE survival experience.

This means there are server limitations, and you’ll want to know these if you’re looking to get a crew going.

A Windrose server can hold a maximum of eight players in its Early Access state. But, due to some slight instabilities, the number the devs are recommending is four just to help with crashes and other glitches in the matrix.

These will definitely be ironed out in due course, and since there are thousands of invested players, there will likely be help in the bug-fixing department with reports aplenty.

There is a suggestion that a limit of ten will be pushed live in the future, but there has been no official confirmation on this, just a bit of hearsay, and something that may have only been told to streamers in pre-release documentation.

If there’s enough demand for it, we’re sure that there could be expansions to that max later down the line. But, we’re definitely a ways off from that since, like we mentioned earlier, it is only in Early Access at this moment in time.
