Here’s how many chapters and missions there are in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Despite being a brick-based version of the caped crusader, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks to be packing in a pretty chunky Batman story, pulling from different corners of the hero’s history rather than sticking to one movie or comic adaptation.

With that in mind, knowing how many chapters and missions are in the game is useful, especially if you’re trying to figure out how far you are through locking up Gotham’s villains.

All Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight chapters and missions

In total, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has six main chapters as well as a prologue, making seven story sections overall. Across these, there are 21 core missions with subsections to each.

While this is meaty in itself, don’t forget that you have an open-world Gotham to explore, too, so you don’t have to strictly rattle your way through the story either.

Looking at the list, it’s clear that Legacy of the Dark Knight is going through all of the Batman motions.

The prologue sets the scene, covering Bruce’s beginnings and his ties to the League of Shadows, before Chapter 1 properly opens things up, featuring characters like Cobblepot, Riddler, Carmine Falcone, and the Red Hood Gang.

From there, the game begins rolling through the heavy villain hitters. Joker appears in Chapter 2, Two-Face and Poison Ivy turn up in Chapter 3, while Chapter 4 brings in Firefly, Batgirl, and Mr. Freeze. Chapter 5 then moves into more cinematic territory with Tumbler Chase and Arkham Asylum, before Chapter 6 circles back to the League of Shadows.

The number of chapters in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight could increase with the already revealed DLC, so keep that in mind, especially if you’re a Deluxe Edition owner.
