Highly anticipated gaming titles of 2025

Gaming is a magical world that players can get lost in and truly be a part of. There are so many different types of gaming that everyone can get involved with. 

There are some games like casino games that they wrote and published the bonus features for, and there are games like video games where you need to do a bit more digging to find out about them.

Thankfully, we’ve got the list of all the video games that are coming out this year so you don’t have to be searching for too long. Let’s take a look at some of the best releases this year.

Top gaming titles to expect this year

Civilization 7 

The first Civilization game came out way back in 1991 and has taken the world by storm ever since. The next instalment in this series is going to see some pretty significant changes to the game as we know it. 

This might not be the best news for die hard fans who enjoy the game as it is but it could end up bringing something fresh to those who are ready for something new. The change that is coming in this new version of Civilization is the focus on a more layered approach to history. This means that there will be fewer ages in total and that these have the potential to change and move into a new civilization at the dawn of each age.

The release date for this game was the 11th February so it’s one of the earliest releases we’ll see this year. If you’re a fan of the previous six games, there’s no doubt that this one will measure up.

Avowed

Avowed is due to be released on the 18th February and the gaming world can barely contain their excitement. The game will feature in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, the world of Eora so you could see this is the next in the series of this game, but it’s going to be a game in its own right.

This is the next major role playing game from Obsidian that will sit within the Pillars of Eternity universe and could be argued to be a different version of Skyrim. A lot of players might not enjoy the comparison, but it’s one that they won’t really escape from.

We’re looking forward to seeing how it holds up against the other games set in this universe. We’re sure it will fall under the ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’ category so we are hoping for big things. 

Monster Hunter Wilds 

Monster Hunter games have been having a great time in the gaming world and the Wilds game looks like it’ll be no different. This new game is due to come out on the 28th February so we’re starting off the year with some incredibly well developed gaming.

We can expect to see a game that is more responsive as well as being a simulated open world of monsters to hunt. The game will take you straight from your camp and into the hunt making it seem like a more action packed version of the games you’ll know from before.

We know about three of the new environments that you’ll be able to find on the new game and these are: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and the Oilwell Basin. They all sound like they’ll bring their own dose of adventure!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows 

Assassin’s Creed is one of the longest running games out there and this new game looks like it’s going way back to the roots of where the game came from. On the 20th March, we can expect the new game to come out and we’ll see Shadows following after Mirage by prioritising stealth again.

This new game will do wonders for people who have been missing some of the original gameplay. This is the fourteenth version of this game out there so you’re bound to like it if you’ve enjoyed the others!

Grand Theft Auto 6

Another game that no one can get enough of is Grand Theft Auto and the sixth installment is coming out sometime this year. There isn’t an exact release date yet but you can be sure it’s going to be the most exciting launch of the year.

Rockstar is returning to the well renowned Vice City but this time, we have a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired crime couple that the game will be following. It’s set to be the most immersive version of the game we’ve had so far so buckle up! People have been waiting for this game for years so we’re hoping it lives up to the expectations.
