Two great action-adventure titles set to leave Game Pass this week
In the ever-tinkering world of games available on Xbox Game Pass, The Ascent and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn are leaving the subscription-based service on January 15, 2026.
Set in the Cyberpunk world of Veles, The Ascent follows you as a low-level worker for the corporation that owns and controls the world, The Ascent Group.
After The Ascent Group suddenly collapses, Veles springs into chaos. Districts turn into warzones as rival factions attempt to take control. Your role? Uncover what led to The Ascent Group’s demise in time for no one else to take control.
Released just 18 months ago, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn follows Nor Venek, an elite soldier for the coalition army, who must save his city of Dawn after it is besieged by old Gods and their armies of the dead.
Aided by a magical fox-like companion called Enki, your combat skills combined with your companions’ magic make you a duo to be reckoned with, but is it enough to stop the gods from taking over?
Though both will no longer be free to play should you have Game Pass, they have both been given a percentage discount for subscribers.
