Dragon quest vii steam releases

Steam is releasing four brilliant titles this week to give us adventure gamers a busy start to February.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Peace Island, Tearscape, and The Dark Rites of Arkham are all going to become available on Steam this week.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

Originally released in 2000, you play as a fisherman’s son who is desperate to explore the surrounding areas of his island of Estard.

On a quest for answers, you and your childhood friends discover the Shrine of Mysteries and are swept back in time. There, you uncover the shocking truth that entire lands have been sealed away by a malevolent force, leaving the fate of the world in your hands.

With updated graphics and gameplay mechanics, this could be the perfect entry point into the Dragon Quest series.

It is out on February 5, and you can click here to purchase the game.

Peace Island

Nine cats wake up to the news that their owners have disappeared. To survive, they must group together to uncover the mysteries of their community, deciding if humans are worth bringing back.

With amazing features like all cats being playable and each having individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as each building being accessible and having a purpose, this is a quirky mix of a unique story and a true adventure title.

You can start playing from February 4, but click here to add it to your Wishlist ahead of that.

Tearscape

As a hunter, you explore a dark, interconnected world filled with dungeons. Relying on precise combat to survive, you battle grotesque monsters in boss battles and uncover hidden paths in a non-linear, pixel art journey.

With powerful items and new abilities available, the game encourages exploration with the map filled with secret areas and shortcuts.

Inspired by the graphics of the classic Game Boy Color, this could be a nice throwback for gamers who grew up playing 2D, pixelated thrillers. If you need convincing that little bit more, click here to try the demo.

The Dark Rites of Arkham

The revival of point-and-click adventures continues with the release of The Dark Rites of Arkham on Steam.

You play as detective Jack Foster, who along with his new partner, Harvey Whitman, has to investigate a gruesome ritual murder that took place in a sealed room. No one could have gotten in or out without being seen.

The case gets even darker when they find out it is related to three witches that escaped the Salem trials in 1693. And just to add to the intrigue, the conspiracy could put an end to the world as we know it.

The game is available on February 3, but you can give the demo a try right now.
