See if your PC is Crimson Desert ready with these system requirements
Crimson Desert is not only a huge game, it looks pretty, too. If you’re looking at your old PC and wondering if it’s going to catch on fire when booting up Pearl Abyss’ adventure, knowing the system requirements beforehand is key.
Thankfully, they’ve been revealed well before the release date for the game, so you can slot in any upgrades ahead of time, if you can afford them in the component shortage of today, that is…
What are the Crimson Desert system requirements?
Even though we’ve touched on the fact that Crimson Desert is a massive game, with so much to do in Pywel, Pearl Abyss seems to be absolute wizards because the system requirements are much lower than you might expect.
This is likely due to the fact that the game was built on a custom in-house engine rather than the usual go-to of Unreal Engine 5, enabling it to be fine-tuned exactly to Pearl Abyss’ liking.
Here are all of those Crimson Desert system requirements, both minimum and recommended, so you can be prepared to get a pre-order in:
Crimson Desert minimum system requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Ryzen 5 2600X / i5-8500
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: RX 6500 XT / GTX 1060
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 135 GB (SSD required)
Crimson Desert recommended system requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Ryzen 5 5600 / i5-11600K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: RX 6700 XT / RTX 2080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 135 GB (SSD required)
As you can see, we weren’t lying about the system requirements being easy to reach.
The fact that Crimson Desert will run on a Ryzen 5 2600X GTX 1060 combo is pretty crazy since this is essentially ten year old hardware, not to mention the recommended requirements being components you’ve likely upgraded already.
The only thing is an SSD requirement but if you haven’t got one installed over a HDD by now, and you’re gaming on your PC, you’re seriously missing out on various performance gains.
