Bigby is back as The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches this October
The Wolf Among Us is officially revisiting Fabletown this October, with Telltale and PM Studios confirming that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch digitally on October 29, 2026.
First revealed during Summer Game Fest, the remaster gives Bigby Wolf’s detective adventure a modern look, but there’s also a completely new way to experience your playthrough.
Dubbed Noir Mode, the new option transforms Fabletown into a black-and-white experience inspired by classic detective movies. Characters, environments, and those shady streets are all presented in monochrome, leaning even harder into the murder mystery elements that made the original such a standout.
If you didn’t play the first time around, the complete five-episode story: Faith, Smoke & Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf, is included, letting you interrogate suspects, investigate crime scenes, and make the usual playthrough-impacting decisions.
This isn’t simply the old game bundled onto newer consoles, either. The remaster features enhanced visuals, improved character and environmental presentation, upgraded animation and audio, an updated user interface, higher resolutions, and smoother performance.
More than an hour of bonus material is also being thrown in, including cast interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and, perhaps most interestingly, playable deleted scenes from the original game.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches digitally on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on October 29. Xbox Series X|S owners will also be able to play through backward compatibility.
The release is The Wolf Among Us’ first appearance on a Nintendo platform, while physical editions are planned to follow in Q1 2027.
With The Wolf Among Us 2 looking to launch in 2027, the timing is perfect for brushing up on exactly how Bigby’s story began, and if you’ve already completed it before, Noir Mode is a solid excuse to head back to Fabletown.
