Here’s what we think is the best starter car in Forza Horizon 6
Forza Horizon 6 isn’t exactly short of a few cars as you play through the Japan experience, but when you’re at the beginning of the game, you will have just three choices to pick from as your starter vehicle.
Naturally, Playground Games has gone down the Japanese starter car route, giving you the choice of the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s, 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205, and 1970 GMC Jimmy.
But which is the best starter car to pick from?
What is the best starter car in Forza Horizon 6?
The best starter car in Forza Horizon 6, in our eyes, is the 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205.
While the Nissan Silvia and GMC Jimmy both have their advantages in certain situations, the Celica is the strongest all-rounder of the three. It offers strong handling, solid speed, and enough off-road ability to make exploration far less painful when you inevitably fling yourself off the road.
That doesn’t mean the other two are bad choices, though.
The Nissan Silvia K’s is the pick for anyone who wants to lean into street racing and drifting. It feels like the most appropriate choice for those wanting that Japanese tuner flavor immediately, and frankly, starting a Horizon game set in Japan with a Silvia does feel right.
The GMC Jimmy, meanwhile, is the off-road option. It’s less of a refined all-rounder and more of a big, bouncy tool for stunts, dirt, hills, and general nonsense.
While we have suggested the Celica is the one to go for, something to note is that once you get past the ‘tutorial’, reaching the Horizon festival, you’ll actually have all three at your disposal.
So, technically, no matter which of the above you choose, you will have access to them all, meaning if you don’t like your selection, you won’t have to use it for long.
