Arc Raiders Geiger Counters are tricky to find, but here’s where you should look

If you’ve hit the Trophy Display project in Arc Raiders and suddenly found yourself obsessing over a Geiger Counter or Surveyor Vaults, welcome to the club. It’s unfortunately one of those items that feels like it only spawns when you don’t need it, and vanishes the moment you go Topside in search of one.

The good news is that Geiger Counters are absolutely farmable. However, the bad news is, like other rarer items, it’s still RNG-heavy. Oh, and you’ll need a fair few Stella Montis runs to get the job done.

Where to find Geiger Counters in Arc Raiders

Geiger Counters are of Epic rarity, and they’re exclusive to the Stella Montis map. Yes, you will have to enter the confined battleground and climb over a plethora of downed raiders, hoping not to get ambushed.

This doesn’t mean they spawn in one guaranteed spot, though, as they roll as loot in containers, with better odds in high-level loot areas.

Best locations to check on Stella Montis

If you want to stop wandering aimlessly and actually target your Geiger Counter search, there are areas worth prioritizing.

First off, the Business Center is a good spot as it’s one of the Exodus-marked areas, and it’s packed with containers, which basically means more bites of the apple per raid. Assembly is another strong farming zone, especially if you’re thorough with every container along the walkways and inside the surrounding rooms. Finally, Medical Research has high-level loot potential, loads of filing cabinets and medical containers, and it’s a known Geiger Counter spawn.

Obviously, loading in on a Night Raid will better your chances of securing higher rarity loot, but this comes with even more danger, especially on a map like Stella Montis.

If you’re doing Trophy Display, you’ll need three Geiger Counters, and you’ll be rewarded with an Aphelion for doing so. It is a pretty strong reason to suffer through the Stella Montis grind, especially if you don’t have the Blueprint.
