These adventure games are set to leave Game Pass on January 31
As part of Game Pass’ regular end-of-month clear-out, three adventure-styled games are set to be axed from the subscription service.
You will have to buy Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Shady Part of Me, and Starbound, should you want to play them in February and beyond.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
The single-player Citizen Sleeper 2 is leaving Game Pass exactly a year to the day since its release. Players control Sleeper, a member of the Sleepers species. Sleepers have a digitised human mind that is in a robotic body and are used as slaves for powerful corporations in a dark, dystopian part of space known as the Starward Belt.
Sleeper breaks free from corporate control but soon has to break free from a criminal gang, leaving you with a bounty on your head from both organisations that you had to break free from. As a wanted man, you explore the Starward belt, all while recruiting a crew to complete contracts to earn supplies and funds. Navigate social, political, and mechanical issues as you attempt to free Sleeper forever.
Shady Part of Me
Shady Part of Me is a puzzle-platformer where you have to allow a girl and her shadow to progress.
The girl is only able to walk in the light, and the shadow is only able to walk in the dark. This forces you to switch perspectives and simultaneously think of both characters as you juggle the light and dark zones in varying environments.
You can read our review of it here.
Starbound
In Starbound, you play as a customisable character who is graduating from the Protectorate, an organisation dedicated to peace and exploration in the galaxy.
However, during the ceremony, a tentacled beast named the Ruin destroys Earth, and you escape on a damaged ship with no idea what to do other than to survive and explore.
While exploring, it dawns upon you that it is down to the player to stop the Ruin. The story follows you as you have to gather the six ancient artifacts across the galaxy to stop the Ruin in its path and to save the universe.
