Walkthrough Addendum

This is a walkthrough of Chapter 7 of Star Trek: 25th Anniversary Enhanced
CD-ROM.  The first six chapters can be found in other walkthroughs for the
floppy diskette version.  Solutions to Chapter 7 differ between CD and
floppy versions, this will get you through the CD version (it has only been
tested on Mac platform).  I paid no attention to scoring at this point.

Chapter 7: Vengeance

On U.S.S. Enterprise:
Say 1
On U.S.S. Republic:
Use Medical Tricorder on dead Crew Man, right side of bridge
Use Medical Tricorder on dead Captain beside captain's chair
Look dead Captain
Use Science Tricorder on Captain's Chair
Use Science Tricorder on computer banks, left and right sides of bridge
Walk down

To use Turbo Lift, point Starfleet symbol at yellow areas located at bottom
left of screen and click to select.

Select Sickbay
Walk left
Use Medical Tricorder on dead Crew Man on right bed
Look Crew Woman
Use Medical Tricorder on Crew Woman
Use Medical Bag on Crew Woman
Talk Crew Woman
Get empty hypo off of table on right
Get surgical drill off of table on right
Walk right
Get cable hanging from ceiling on right
Walk down
Select Auxiliary Control
Get molecular saw on floor, left side
Use drill on door panel
Use door panel (note debris in mechanism)
Walk down
Select Bridge
Use saw on fallen beam (left side)

Use beam on pile of debris
Use red phaser on pile of debris

Select Transporter Room
Get cable hanging from ceiling on right

Use red phaser on pile of debris (aim for very top or sides, not the middle)
Get power pack

Use cable on port under right console
Use other cable on port under left console
Open closet on left wall
Get technical journals from bottom of closet
Use hypo on oil canister at top of closet

Select Transporter Room
Walk left
Use power pack on upper red hole just left of the door

Use technical journals on right console twice
Get log decks on floor, right side

On U.S.S. Enterprise:
Choose hail, intercept or run

Fight Enterprise 2 and two Elasi ships

Our Verdict

Uneven

A near-equal balance of good and bad that can make a game either fall disappointingly short of its evident potential or be mildly entertaining despite its many failings.

It’s an authentic experience for fans of the show, but frustrating design flaws keep 25th Anniversary from being a particularly worthwhile experience for non-Trekkers.
