Ubisoft buys Microïds’ in-house developers

Games publisher and developer Ubisoft has just acquired Microïds’ Canadian development operations and will merge them into the Ubisoft Montreal branch. About fifty Microïds employees will move to Ubisoft as a result.
How this will affect the output of Microïds’ adventure games remains to be seen, but according to press any projects currently in development by Microïds is not affected.
Microïds is a French developer known for its Syberia series and its upcoming suspense thriller Still Life.
