New Partnerships Aplenty for PokerStars
PokerStars have launched their videogame Vegas Infinite on PlayStation 5 (PS5). The company hopes that doing so will introduce a new audience of console players to their games and become part of the PokerStars community.
With Vegas Infinite now available to play on consoles, it means they will have a whole range of new games to play. This will include being able to take part in slot tournaments and play table games.
It will also be possible for users to challenge other players who are on the global PlayStation network. Plenty of adventures are therefore on the way for those who play.
Being able to play immersive games is anticipated to increase hugely in the future. However, both PokerStars and PlayStation have stated that to play Vegas Infinite on a PS5 no Virtual Reality headset will be required.
There will be a number of immersive environments available for users of Vegas Infinite. Players can enter private suites such as Galactic Space Station, Showdown Saloon and Macau 2050.
The Director of Disruptive Innovation at PokerStars is James O’Reilly. He said the launch will introduce “a brand-new audience of console players to Vegas Infinite.” The Director added that the company had been “working tirelessly with their development partners at Lucky VR” with the aim of reworking their game for PS5 and he’s “very proud” of what has been achieved.
Speaking about what Vegas Infinite offers to its players, O’Reilly said that it has “intuitive controls” with a “multiplayer gameplay” that is “lively and compelling.” Full advantage of how powerful the PS5 is has been taken. This will “showcase the depth and vibrancy of our environments,” he added. It’s not surprising therefore that he says he “can’t wait to explore them with our players.”
2024 has already been a busy year for PokerStars with a number of partnership deals being achieved. This sees their content being boosted. That was the case when their deal with Swedish game developer Gaming Corps was announced in January of this year.
Those who play the PokerStars Casino in Spain, Malta and Sweden can now enjoy Gaming Corps content. This includes plinko, slot and table games. The games that PokerStars Casino players can now access are an impressive list. Among the ones available are ‘Wild Woof,’ ‘Jet Lucky,’ ‘Coin Miner’ and ‘Piggy Smash,’ As the months go by more games will be available to play and enjoy.
It’s a deal that has delighted Mats Lundin, the Director of Sales for Gaming Corps. He described PokerStars as “one of the most notorious brands in the history of online gaming.” It’s part of their bid to “cement a position of strength in every market” in which Gaming Corps operates.
It’s been an important year too for Flutter Entertainment who are the parent company of PokerStars. 2024 has seen them officially commence trading on the New York Stock Exchange, using the ticker symbol ‘FLUT.’ Their belief is that this is their “optimal location” and it will see “long-term strategic and capital market benefits” being unlocked.
The USA is a market in which companies such as Flutter Entertainment see great expansion possible to be made. That’s been illustrated in New Jersey where their FanDuel site has enjoyed great success. June saw them produce revenue of $29.1 million, as per NJ Bet. That made their apps the most successful online sports betting sites in the state ahead of DraftKings who managed less than half that figure.
Another partnership that has been signed by PokerStars is with digital entertainment supplier Playson. Top slots from Relax Gaming such as ‘Solar King’ will be added to the PokerStars Casino content.
This new deal has enabled Playson to expand in the UK market. Their future plans are to have their content included in the PokerStars sites in Ontario and Spain.
Their sales director is Blanka Homor who believes that PokerStars are “an undisputed leader in the global betting and gaming industry.” By partnering with them this helps reinforce Playson as “a truly distinctive, expert creative studio” and the sales director is of the opinion that their games portfolio makes them “a must-have for the biggest brands within the digital casino space.”
Those who live in Spain and Romania and play at the PokerStars site are now able to play slot games from RubyPlay. The deal that has been signed with the Malta-based iGaming studio will also see four titles created by RubyPlay for PokerStars. The first of these was ‘Yo Ho Ho’ and has already received rave reviews.
Their CPO is Dr Eyal Loz says that growth is their “top priority” and they look forward to new audiences being introduced to their “diverse slots,” They have also been busy signing new deals with other recent ones being with NetBet Italy and Reevo.
Such deals work well for both companies. PokerStars see their content improve immensely and the company supplying the new games achieve expansion into other markets.More deals are expected in the future.
