Inner Ashes: A Mind-Exploring Adventure

Video game publisher SelectaPlay and Calathea Game Studio have announced the upcoming release of Inner Ashes, a first-person adventure game that explores the human mind. The game will be available on June 30 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam. 

Inner Ashes puts players in the shoes of Henry, a forest guard diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's. The game's unique and heart-wrenching narrative follows Henry's journey to discover why his daughter Enid disappeared from his life. Players must explore his mind through various dream-like scenarios based on his day-to-day life.

Gameplay mechanics in Inner Ashes are designed to help Alzheimer's patients mitigate their symptoms. Players must solve tangram puzzles to stimulate Henry's memory and allow him to unlock key memories of his life with Enid. They can also use post-it notes to help Henry recognize objects, remember how to use them and unlock past memories.

Inner Ashes promises to be a unique and emotionally charged gaming experience that tackles serious issues like Alzheimer's disease. The game's innovative gameplay mechanics and touching narrative are sure to captivate gamers when it releases on June 30.
