Hope in the City – new non-linear mystery adventure
Lofty Sky Entertainment has unveiled the first look at gameplay for its new non-linear mystery adventure, Hope in the City, which looks really rather cool. Hope in the City is an original narrative mystery that puts players in the shoes of 17-year-old Hope Song, who returns home from school to discover her parents have disappeared.
Rather than the plethora of protagonists we have had lately, who all, to a tee, seem to be reporters or writers of one kind or another, Hope in the City sets Hope as a talented artist who collects her thoughts and insights in a sketchbook she carries with her throughout the game The actually becomes a mechanic for the game as it progresses as Hope jots down clues and ideas and you can refer back to them as your quest continues. It’s clever and looks neat, as you can see in the trailer below.
The team behind the animation at Lofty Sky Entertainment has a form for producing great stuff, as they also produced the first animated feature selected as Canada’s official submission to the Academy Awards® for Best International Feature Film in 2023.
We are looking forward to this one as it looks unique enough to stand out in an ever-more-crowded marketplace for graphic adventures.
Hope in the City can now be added to your wishlist on Steam. For more information, visit the Lofty Sky website, follow the team on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
